Executive Team

Tom Hunter
President and CEO - Hunter Corporation

Tom Hunter graduated from Davidson College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He then worked for a startup joint-venture between MidSouth Financial and Centura Bank. After several promotions culminating in Vice President, Mr. Hunter was selected to attend UNC's Kenan-Flager Business School and graduated with honors in 1999. Upon graduation, Mr. Hunter worked as a mergers and acquisitions associate for Brookwood Associates, LLC, an investment bank in Charlotte, NC. In 2002, he joined his family's company, Hunter Corporation, Inc. While attending NADA's Dealer Academy, Mr. Hunter worked at all positions within the dealership, from parts counter, sales to sales manager. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hunter Corporation.

Randy Hunter
Chairman - Hunter Corporation

Randy Hunter graduated from East Carolina University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In September of 1984 he began his career with Hunter Corporation, Inc. Randy has worked in all departments and has held practically every position at both dealerships, including sales representative, service writer, finance manager, new and used car manager and general sales manager. He has garnered many sales awards from Chevrolet's Legion of Sales leaders and the Truck Honor Club. In 1998 he was promoted to General Manager of Hunter Nissan Lincoln Mercury. The dealership has earned several awards, including Nissan's prestigious Award of Merit. He is currently serving as the Chairman and Visionary of Hunter Corporation.

Bill Robins
Variable Operations Director

Bill Robins has served as Variable Operations Director for Hunter Automotive Group since July 2015. Mr. Robins began his automotive retailing career in 1976 in Newport News, Virginia, having served in multiple management positions with BMW of North America, Inc., as well as various other management positions in the private and publicly owned automotive industry.  Prior to starting his automotive career Mr. Robins taught school and experienced a successful coaching career. He lives in Flat Rock with his wife Leslie of 30 years. They have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Randy McFalls
Fixed Operations Director

Randy has been a Henderson County resident all his life. He attended West Henderson High School and has taken several courses in Automotive Technology and earned a certification in welding at Blue Ridge Community College.

During middle school, he held a full time job at Etowah Valley Country Club and performed a variety of duties on the grounds and in the dining room area at night. In 1978 his curiosity of the automotive business took him on a different path. He accepted a position with Carolina Auto Parts in Asheville as a stock clerk. After a few months he was asked to fill in as a counter person and then moved to the Hendersonville location of Blue Ridge Auto Parts as a full time counter person. 

In early 1980 he made the decision to form a partnership and open a chain of Automotive Parts Stores, the first which was Mountain Auto Parts in Brevard N.C. In June of 1986, he sold his interest in the business and joined the Hunter Automotive Group in 1987 as a service consultant.

Randy was soon promoted to service manager and currently holds the position as Corporate Fixed Operations Director. 

Beth McCann
HR Director

Beth McCann graduated in 1998 with her Master's degree in Human Resources from Clemson University. She joins Hunter Corporation with over 20 years of human resource management experience from the upstate of South Carolina. Her expertise in being a collaborative business partner with company leadership has been cultivated in the manufacturing sector with progressive Fortune 500 companies. Beth brings her diverse knowledge and experience to our dealership as the Human Resources Director to help us build a culture and work environment that stands firm on our core values.

Tim Walters

Tim graduated from Indiana University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He then began a career as CFO at LCD, Inc., where he oversaw substantial growth. He went on to become Controller and COO at Penske Automotive Group, where he proactively participated in returning the dealership to profitability by the end of the year. Following this success, Tim moved to Bill Heard Enterprises as Controller & Platform Controller, where he was able to achieve the highest net profits the platform had ever experienced. Similarly, at Prebul Enterprises, Tim was directly responsible for returning the organization to profitability within 8 months. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Georgia Society of CPA's. He is currently Chief Financial Officer at Hunter Corporation.


General Sales Manager

Thom Morrow
General Sales Manager

Thom Morrow joined Hunter in October 2014 but has flourished in the automotive industry for 25 years … starting to sell cars in 1992 and then a Business Manager, Finance Director, Sales Manager and General Sales Manager.  Additionally, he worked five years in the insurance industry and was a VP and Regional Manager for Wachovia Insurance Services/Dealer Financial Services and an independent dealer in Fayetteville, NC.  He is certified in the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals Certification (AFIP), attended Catawba College in Salisbury, NC and the National Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Academy.  Thom grew up in New Bern, NC but born right here in Henderson, NC, is married with three daughters and is an avid golfer.

Gordon Zurbrick has worked at Hunter since 2015 as a Finance Manager and now the New Car Sales Manager - having been in the automotive industry five years.  Prior to this he served in the U.S. Army for eight years.  Originally from Charleston, SC, he received his BS from Charleston Southern University, is married with a three-year old daughter and another baby on the way.

Aaron Jones
Sales Manager

"AJ" (Aaron) Jones is from Indianapolis, IN and has been in the automotive industry for ten years progressing from Sales, Finance Manager, Finance Director, New Car Sales Manager and now is Hunter's Used Car Sales Manager.  He joined Hunter in January 2016.  He enjoys working out and watching sports.



Devin Sigmon
Sales Consultant

Devin Sigmon was in retail three years before starting at Hunter in sales in August 2017.  He attended both Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA and Montreat College.  Devin has coached the high school level Empire Lacrosse here in Asheville/Fletcher and now plays on the Asheville Lacrosse Club.  He also enjoys hiking, camping and coaching.  Devin is originally from Winston-Salem.

Alexander Salazar
Sales Consultant

Alex Salazar started at Hunter in April 2017 after attending A-B Tech.  Although originally from Detroit, MI, he has enjoyed making Arden his home along with his dog, Rocco.  Alex worked in the kitchen at Brooklyn Brothers Italian Restaurant and volunteered with the special needs students' program, PEP, at TC Robertson High School.

James Webber
Sales Consultant

James Webber is a graduate from Erwin High and is a native of Asheville.  He enjoys spending time with his nine-year old daughter and ShihTzu named Trinidad.  He also plays basketball and poker.  He joined Hunter and the world of car sales in the summer of 2014 and is certified to sell Subarus and Hyundais.

Rob Ahrens
Sales Consultant

Rob Ahrens has worked in the automobile industry for 30 years and has been with Hunter since 2016 - currently certified to sell Subarus and Hyundais.  Originally from Ringgold, GA, Rob graduated from the University of Georgia, attends Biltmore Church and enjoys golf and river rafting.  He adds that "Tom and Randy Hunter are some people everyone should meet"!

Garrett Haire
Sales Consultant

Garette Haire is a noted expert on Jesse Livermore and his investing/security trading techniques!  Born and raised in NC, he graduated from NC State in 1982 and has hobbies are writing and teaching.  Garette has been in commissioned sales for over three decades in investment advisory and sales management work.  He joined Hunter in the spring of 2017.  He and his wife, Lisa, have four children:  Brek, Leah, Marshall and Garrison.

Pam Justice
Sales Consultant

Pam Justice has been in the automotive industry 12 years -- since 2004 with Hunter and before was with Sunshine Chevrolet in Arden.  She has also been a sales consultant and Internet Sales Manager.  She is native to NC, has one daughter and son-in-law along with two granddaughters and one on the way!  Her hobbies include teaching Sunday School for 2-5 years, hiking, reading and watching the sunset from her front porch.

Jason Apicerno
Sales Consultant

Jason Apicerno started with Hunter in 2013 and has worked in sales and the automotive industry for 15 years.  Jason enjoys fishing - perhaps because he was born and raised in Florida.

Sammy Justice
Sales Consultant

Sammy Justice is a local - he was born in Asheville, grew up and went to high school in Brevard and now lives in Asheville again.  Sammy is a vocalist with Skylight Heights, a national touring Rock Band out of Asheville, but he also plays the guitar, violin and "many, many" other instruments.  He runs a small recording studio and has been in the music industry for six years.  He has a nine-month old son, Anakin.  Sammy started in sales with Hunter in the fall of 2016.

Laura Lewis
Sales Consultant

Laura Lewis sold insurance 12 years before coming to Hunter in sales in December 2015.  She was a BCBS Manager for Medicare and Medicaid.  Born and raised in Camden, SC, WNC is now her home with her wonderful husband of ten years and two OUTSTANDING boys aged 12 and 15 … along with two dogs and cats, 30 fish and all the outdoor creatures who come around to be fed.  She enjoys football, swimming and hike our beautiful mountains.  "Nothing brings me more joy than helping others, customers and co-workers."  She enjoys her chosen career because of the customers and the Hunter family.

Chris Payne
Sales Consultant

Chris Payne is from Brevard and served in the US Army Infantry, 1st Armored Division - and in Baumholder, Germany from 2000-2003.  He is in the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and has been married to his lovely wife Natalia 13 years.  They have a daughter, Alisha, and two sons - John and Dangelo.  His marketing degree from Western Carolina University has served him well.  He has managed Jet's Pizza and was a head washer at Miller's Linen Service.  At Hunter in sales since January 2015, he has advanced to be Subaru and Hyundai Certified. 

Gala Rice
Sales Consultant

Gala Rice has been in sales at Hunter since 2000 and says "I LOVE SELLING CARS!!"  Born in Brevard, she is very involved at Next Church, leads a Healthy Living Exercise and Bible study class.  She and her high school sweetheart, Jeff, have been married 27 years and have three wonderful children (Christina, Caleb and Joshua) and two wonderful grandchildren (Sophia and Collin).  Gala is an avid runner and has her BA from UNC-Charlotte.  Her son and son-in-law are in the US Air Force and her son Joshua is a college student and baseball player.  

Jeff Jacobson
Accessory & Delivery Coordinator

Jeff Jacobson is a Hendersonville native and enjoys his blonde Lab named Lil along with fly fishing, fishing, camping, music festivals, watersports and snowboarding.  He has worn several hats since arriving at Hunter in 2014 and now is our Delivery Coordinator.  Before Hunter his was in the restaurant/service ten years including being the Chef de Cuisine for Tupelo Honey Cafe - yumm!

Vin Parish
Sales Consultant

Vin Parish is Volvo Master Certified after being with Hunter just since the spring of 2016!  Prior he was in the swimming pool industry for 17 years as a Regional Sales Director, Retail Operations Manager and District Manager.  Vin has a daughter who is eleven and one Siberian Husky.  He is a member of the Rotary Club and the National Automobile Dealers Association and also involved with NASA, Pokemon League, Rebel Alliance and JLA.  Sometimes he just "enjoys doing nothing".

Kevin Brazanskas is from Vernon, New Jersey but now lives in West Ashville where he, his wife, two kids and two dogs enjoy time together outdoors and the mountain lifestyle of WNC.  He received his BA from Long Island University - Southampton in Environmental Studies and has worked as an Environmental Compliance Specialist and youth mentor.  At Hunter since 2008, Kevin is a member of American Financial and Automotive Services' F&I (Finance and Insurance) and is a NC Notary Public.

Austin Johnson
Service Advisor

Austin Johnson's Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE hobbies are "literally anything dealing with or about cars", which does not suit his cat, Lucas!  He joined Hunter as a service advisor in the summer of 2017 and has filled many shoes.  Austin is certified with Nissan for Electric, Express Service and Drive Components and has a degree in Automotive Technology from the Universal Technical Institute of Mooresville, NC. Jeff Warren
Service Advisor

Jeff Warren is from Nashville, raised in the Atlanta area and has lived in South Florida and Seattle, WA.  He attended the University of GA and has worked in risk management for 23 years including positions such as a Manager, Director of Operations and VP of Operations - also CEO of his own business.  Jeff came on board at Hunter as a Service Advisor in the summer of 2017.  Divorced with two adult children - Courtney and Kyle, he has two dogs, Molly and Sasha, and enjoys watching college football.  He also enjoys wood working and music appreciation.

Dolores Asbell
Service Advisor

Dolores Asbell is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and was born in Ocala.  She moved to Brevard in 1979 - like many, from childhood, spent summers in NC and fell in love.  Dolores was a paralegal in a law firm for six years and she has been in the automotive industry for 12 years - with Hunter since spring 2016as a Service Advisor.  Prior to Hunter she was a Service Advisor and in Accounts Receivable/Payable and a Bookkeeper.  She is married, has four children and six grandchildren.  She has worked as a volunteer with Compassion International and is a member of the Tim Tebow Foundation.  She enjoys hiking with her dogs, Roxy and Rango, swimming, painting and football.

Bonnie Warden
Customer Service Representative

Bonnie Warden started with Hunter in 2015 and has earned the reputation as a "killer brownie" maker!  She has her BA in Environmental Studies from State University of New York Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY.  She worked eight years as a Technical Assistant at the Institutional Research at Corning Community College in Corning, NY.  Bonnie is married to Mark and has a Maine Coon rescue named Sonny Longcat - for whom she admits openly that they are Sonny's humble servants.  She enjoys photography, gardening, hiking, cooking, reading, birdwatching (with Sonny) and visiting the ocean.  And by the way, she does not miss the snow!

Robert Ficker

Robert Finker is a life-long resident of Henderson County.  He has been a shuttle driver in the Parts Department with Hunter since summer 2014 - prior to which he was in manufacturing for 34 years rising to Facilities Engineer Manager and a Superintendent.  He has a BS in Industrial Engineering.  Robert is married with four children.  His hobbies include spending time with his family, grand kids, their dogs and the "honey-do" list projects around the house.  Something he really likes about his job is being amazed at how our customers find out about Western North Carolina!

Shannon Vaughn
Warranty Administrator

Shannon Vaughn works behind the scenes in the Parts Department as the Warranty Administrator and joined Hunter in 1997 after learning of an opening from her Grandmother who worked here many years!  She has worked in various positions - in parts, as cashier and at the switchboard.  She has been married 20 years to Robert and has an 18-year old daughter.  Their dog, Riley, is nine years old and she enjoys running, hiking and going to the lake.  Raised in Colorado, she has lived in NC for 25 years.



Kirk Firmin
Parts Director

Kirk Firmin is certified in Lexus, Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, Hyundai, Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles and has worked as an Assistant Parts Manager, Parts Manager and now is our Fixed Operations/Parts Director - all reflective of a growing career of 28 years in the automotive industry.  He grew up in the business as his Father owned a Buy-Here-Pay-Here in Tampa, FL.  Kirk is married with one child in college and the National Guard.  He enjoys photography and riding his motorcycle - and his dog.  Kirk joined Hunter in June 2013.

Ben Baxley
Parts Consultant

Ben Baxley joined Hunter as a Parts Consultant in November 2016 - his first job in the automotive industry and now he is a Certified Subaru Parts Advisor.  He was raised in Hendersonville and is a graduate from Nor Henderson.  Marty is his "still-puppy" English Shepherd.  Reno, NV born, Ben likes mountain biking, motorcycling, camping and hiking - and worked a season in Yellowstone National Park.

Paul Juntunen
Parts Consultant

Paul Juntunen started working as a Parts Consultant with Hunter in 2015 and has been in the business for eight years.  He was born in Sarasota, FL and went to Manatee Technical Institute in Brandenton, FL.  Now that he is a NC resident, he has a Venus Fly Trap named "Petey".  He also enjoys movies, Fantasy Football and rafting.

Ashley Parker has been with Hunter since 2006 as a Detail Parts Consultant and Wholesale Parts Manager.  She is Subaru, Hyundai and Nissan Certified.  Ashley grew up in Mills River and graduated from West Henderson High.  She has a cat named Darby and loves to fish and spend time with her family.

Chad Baldwin
Body Shop Manager

Chad Baldwin is married 12 years to his lovely wife, Liz.  They have two dogs (Gemma and Jax) that enjoy boating, camping and eating Chad's cooking - he once was a kitchen cook!  Chad brings 23 years of experience in the automotive industry to Hunter!.  He worked five years in detail at a Ford dealership and at Hunter he has worked in detail and advanced to managing the Body Shop and Recon Shop.  He is a Hendersonville native and came to Hunter in 2002.

Tosha Shields
Body Shop Assistant

Tosha Shields grew up in Hendersonville.  Only she can explain how you can peacefully have three dogs and three ferrets!  But her two beautiful girls are understandable, and she enjoys spending time with family.  Since October 2014 she has worked at Hunter in a variety of capacities - all customer service related.  But she has been in customer service 13 years and six of those have been in the automotive industry.  She has been a Service Advisor, 1st Choice Service and Sales, Service BDC, Rental Coordinator and Body Shop Assistant.  That's just who she is.

Myra Burleson

Myra Burleson is from Kentucky and is married to Chris, has four children and one granddaughter.  They all enjoy camping, being together and going to church.  She received her Associates Degree in Business from Walters State Community College in White Pine, TN - she puts all that to work in Customer Service for the last ten years, the last of which has been with us at Hunter.  Here she has been in Customer Service and BDC Service.

Deborah Postlethwait was born in Maryland, raised in Charlotte and has lived in Hendersonville since 2015.  She and her husband of 23 years, Thomas, and two children attend The Rock Church.  Their son, Trey, is soon to graduate from NC State and Hanna is a sophomore at Hendersonville High.  Prior to starting at Hunter in the summer of 2017, she worked five years in hospitality as an Innkeeper and Front Desk Manager.  Deborah has her Associates in Applied Science in Office Administration from Mitchell (County) Community College and BS in Paralegal Studies from Liberty University.
