We had an excellent experience today working with Gala Rice, at Hunter Subaru! She found us an excellent vehicle, and we were totally satisfied with the entire process! Gala is very professional, but was warm and “down to Earth” as she guided us. We traded in our 10 year old Subaru, purchased from Hunter, for a used Ford Explorer, but were treated like royalty! We will definitely stay with the Hunter family from now on!!

Terrible Sales department. I went to pick up a car that had been promised to me when I sent in over the weekend but after I got there they told me I didn't have any credit but tried to show me something that maybe I could get. I told them no and left. When I got home I saw where they had checked my credit and it was a hard hit to my credit. Terrible way to do business. I will never buy a vehicle from them even if I could.

Purchased new tires w/ 2 year warranty for my new car (also bought here) last month, and one will not hold air. No visible damage from inspection but weeks of photo/video evidence.

They thought I was another clueless woman when I walked in the door to have them check the transmission on my 2005 Outback 3.0. They were very mistaken.
My transmission had seemed to have a shifting delay and some occasional jerky shifts and I asked them to check it over.
They claimed the ATF fluid was burned and I needed a new transmission. Neither was correct.

Very incompetent. Will never go back. We purchased a car out of state and purchased a new tag from the dealership. They wrote a 30 day temporary tag that expired on May 25. On May 25 I emailed to get the disposition of the tag and was told it was on its way to the DMV. Today June 7 still no tag and we were just informed by the receptionist that it was mailed on May 22. She didn’t realize she was disclosing their blatant incompetence. Additionally she was arrogant and condescending. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and go elsewhere.

Although there were two things wrong with the new car I just purchased from Hunter Subaru, Harrison Hunter did come up to me and thank me and he and the wonderful salesperson Ashley Underwood pledged to make it right. Which they did do. It took a long time--as car purchases tend to, but overall it was a good experience. Not sure why financing required 33% down..... Recommended.

Have a 2021 Outback. About a year ago, the rear - blind spot warning was not working. Took it in to be diagnosed. They did about a 20 point inspection then said the rear blind spot was working. Had to have my car towed after a simple oil change at this Dealership. Technician forgot to complete the job and all the new oil leaked out. Hunter is more interested in selling cars than taking care of their Customers. Poor representation of Subaru.

The absolute worst Subaru service in America. Will lie right to your face. Was quoted a price for 60,000 mile service. Called back after checking other dealers nearby to set up appointments. I had to break in to two different appointments. When I was scheduling the appointments, I mentioned several times the price I had been quoted and the person I was speaking with to make appointments agreed more than once the price was correct. consistent bad service after car purchased. Recent visit worst ever. Tried to sell a 4 wheel alignment which they had just done less that 5 months ago. Service Department has Terrible communication and aggressive up selling of necessary products and services. They wasted two hours of my time, charged me $180 for a diagnostic test, and then did not fix the issue (multiple safety system warning lights on). But on the bright side, they did try to sell me a $26 bottle of Fuel System Cleaner, which they described as "Needs immediate attention", so I guess we can see what their priorities are.

Purchased a new Outback Touring XT December 31st. Car sounded good. I recommended two others and they purchased. Be very leary of a new Outback. Check class action suits online. I wish I had.

Save your time and stress and go to Prestige. Trey Sales Manager said they would match an offer 100% just come in. I get in and John Pop doesn't want to do the deal because it was too aggressive despite the GUARANTEE to match. It's recorded, it's on tape. They talk about "hometown promise", but they are only looking out for them. Any quote they give you, run it by Prestige after. I'm also available to help and so is Edmunds! Don't let Hunter ruin your car buying experience.

We had an excellent experience with Hunter Subaru, working primarily with a youngish salesman named Brandon, who was congenial, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Although it took quite a while for the loan approval to work through, we were happy with the deal we were able to make on a new Outback Premium and pleased with the interactions we had with several employees and the sales manager as well.

Worst customer experience! I never been treated so bad by a sales manager in the process of buying a car. Go to another car dealer if you want to be treated like a person and a car buyer.

I was giving a representative my payment information for a car that they committed to sell me. The representative needed to get a question answered and went away. When he came back he told me the car was sold to someone else. How professional is that? I assume the sold the car for more money. Their only interest is money and not the commitment and interest to customers. Stay away they can’t be trusted.

If I could give Hunter Subaru a -100 rating I would. I have never seen a more incompetent place of business in my life. I enjoyed working with Hunter Hyundai and buying a car from them. Their staff is respectful and patient. All my questions and requests were addressed while in the process of purchasing my Palisade. Two days after I purchased my 2019 CrossTrek, my salesperson dutifully called me and asked if everything was OK with the vehicle and if I was pleased. I had written an earlier review about misrepresentation of the number of oil changes allowed in my maintenance contract on our 2017 Hunter Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. The financial representative at time of purchase had said multiple times when asked that oil changes were covered for three years . Wasn't the best experience buying. The vehile had scratches on the back that took a month to be taken care of. I wanted a trailer hitch installed the day I bought it on a Tuesday. Dealer told me that my loan was approved, 5 days later wile I was at their location related to a different matter they reassured me that my loan was approved and everything was fine. Great place to buy car people are friendly and very efficient. They treated me with respect and showed me a great experience. The car I purchased had a scratch and they fixed it right away.

CEO follows up with customers via letter by mail after purchase. However if he gets any response that might require him to acknowledge that the customer isn't happy then it's completely disregarded, no more follow up, no more contact. Very unprofessional and I will not recommend this dealership any longer as I had after the purchase of the first vehicle I got from them. My wife and I were exceptionally pleased with the service we received from Greg. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We ended up test driving several vehicles and never got the feeling of being pressured or that we were annoying him. Gala is a very well informed salesperson on the vehicles Hunter sells. Gala has been in contact with us twice we purchased our Sonata. The people we interacted with were very helpful.

At first agreed to a 36 month leasing arrangement with adj cap cost of $32,773.94, residual 23,772, approximate monthly payments $250 monthly. An error was made in the paper processing using the wrong VIN causing the new 36 month leasing arrangement to be increased with adj cap cost of $35,684.08, increased residual $26,406.80 and increased monthly payments $300.99

Great customer service from the salesman. Explained everything. The finance department however stated that they would inform my insurance company of the lease agreement. I contacted my insurance company a few days later and they never heard from hyundai. My insurance company contacted me about two weeks later to inform me that Hunter Hyundai never got in contact with them.

After researching and test driving several mid-sized SUV's(Highlander, CX-9, Murano). The Hyundai Santa Fe was the best Bang For The Buck of the group. The CX-9 had a peppy engine and lots of extras but too small and tight of a cockpit for my 6'3" stature. Both and Murano and Highlander had plenty of space and features but the V6 engine was EXTREMELY disappointing in both models. Not enough power for that size of a vehicle. We live most of the year in Vermont, and Hunter registered the car for us in Vermont; the plates arrived in the mail just one day before the NC temporary plates expired. Would definitely buy again from these folks.

Overall wife and I was very satisfied with Dustin our salesman, we got what we wanted for our trade in and got fair price on our new Tucson (I think). Disapointed in advertised warranty 10 yr 100,000 miles, fine print isn't what you think. Finance department did find great rate at Champion credit union. Nice clean showroom, parking lot is free of debris, clean bathrooms, excellence in staff, and personal attention are why we chose Hunter. Gala sold us our first car and did an excellent job in disclosing everything and in answering our questions. She also told us about rebates and options for financing.
